Project Overview

The personal branding project for Mauka Studios represents a photo/video studio located in the mountains in Hawaii. This project was created to learn the basics of logo/branding and brand identity while experimenting with color, type, & design. Rather than doing a rebrand, I created a personal brand studio to display the commercial work I’ve done as a freelance creative agency. ‘Mauka’, or mountain (in Hawaiian), represents the core values of where I come from, so I decided to gain inspiration from natural forms to create my designs. These values represent taking care of others around you and giving back to the places we come from. I used symbols like the mountains, stars, & birds in my designs to represent the special place, Hawaii.
